Wedding party booked at short notice. Food was ok except for the dessert. Chocolate mousse and panna cotta with fresh fruits are made for dessert. We got an ordinary chocolate pudding as a mousse and an unidentifiable vanilla or cream pudding as a panna cotta. An employee, presumably the cook, wanted to sell us the pudding as a soufflé and presented us as if we had no idea. The celebration included 2 experienced cooks who criticized the entire dessert and let it go back. The climax was the statement that we were lucky to have received anything at all. However, we were very satisfied with the service staff. The bottom line is that there will be no second visit.

At the entrance we were greeted by a recommendation from the Michelin guide. I thought great. The dinner in the evening, disaster. The ochsenbaeckchen was rather warmed up sauerbraten, the Käsespatzle were knoepfle with an unrecognizable sauce. The rooms from the 80s need renovation. "cozy and inexpensive" No, the store is not recommended. To all cyclists, keep going ... The fact that such hotels still exist is probably due to the bicycle boom on the Main.

We had booked the "Ächt Franconian" offer. The room was okay, we had a balcony and a large TV (although the latter is not so important to me). WiFi was free and good in the entire hotel. Cleanliness in the room was okay. Unfortunately, I had to see that the cleaner didn't wear a face mask ... The location of the room was unfortunately not in a quiet environment, day and night ICE and passenger and freight trains, which you could hear very loudly in our room (unbearable for us country eggs ...) The staff was very friendly, but seemed overwhelmed with us vacationers. It is advertised with walks through meadows, forests and vineyards ... On request, we received an event calendar that did not bring us anything. We couldn't be helped with exact hiking routes. There is a tourist office in Gemünden, this is recommended. Now the food: they advertise a house slaughter, etc. but unfortunately we had to find out on the first evening with the schnitzel that all of the food was ready-made. I don't have to go to a restaurant for that! There was the same soup every day ... Dessert consisted of Metroeis ... Overall not recommendable. On Saturday evening there was a "chopper bread time and a glass of Franconian wine", there was exactly one type of wine to choose from ... the great mince bread time see the picture. In addition, 2 slices of dry bread were served. We complained about this to the waiter, he was astonished and only brought an "okay" from his lips ... Sunday morning a waiter in sweatpants, a dirty T-shirt and unfortunately without a face mask brought me this scrambled egg. I don't have to write anything more, you can see everything necessary ... All in all, this "hotel" is not intended for people who want to vacation there. I rated the offer "really Franconian", I would rate the hotel itself with 3 stars, you don't have to eat there. Unfortunately, the offer was a total flop.

Nice staff, quiet location close to the old town. Bicycle garage, modern room, small safe, unfortunately no minibar. Some small tech. Defects like a calcified shower head, a broken balcony door. Breakfast products not so tasty, scrambled eggs completely dried out and crumbly

Room simplest category. 3 * S not justified at all. I can not understand the previous reviews regarding the food. The Schnitzel Spessart was a disaster. French fries cold and everything else out of the bag, you don't need a cook for this !!!! The waitresses were very inattentive. The order was not passed on to the kitchen, so we had to wait 70 minutes for the meal.

Small fine hotel with good food 👍 Update 07/01/2020: Food is still good, but maybe a bit too expensive in terms of price / performance ratio. My room today has the charm of a youth hostel accommodation - but perfectly adequate. Staff nice 👍

Very good location for big celebrations. The food is very good and the prices are not overpriced but adequate for the area. Can also recommend the premises for meetings. Parking is available in sufficient numbers.

Everything was wonderful! We had a weekend booked, were very well taken care of, had good food and friendly people around us! The service is very informal, but not intrusive, just as it is good and good! We will be back!

We were only eating in the restaurant. We very tasty. Great little menu and therefore fresh food. The little ones also get an extra menu with great dishes. There are enough parking spaces. Clean toilets that are easily accessible even for people with reduced mobility.
